Rector NUST Meets HEC Chairman to Discuss Institutional Growth and National Impact

Rector, Dr. Muhammad Zahid Latif, called on Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, Chairman, Higher Education Commission (HEC), to congratulate him on assuming leadership of HEC and extend best wishes for a tenure that strengthens Pakistan’s higher education landscape.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss NUST’s ongoing and upcoming academic initiatives with particular focus on how HEC can further enable and support the University’s strategic priorities in institutional growth, global partnerships and its expanding national footprint.
Both sides exchanged views on strengthening collaboration to ensure policy alignment and sustained academic advancement while reaffirming a shared resolve to advance Pakistan’s standing in the global knowledge economy through a robust and forward-looking higher education sector.
