Rector NUST Hosts SCO Deputy Secretary-General to Discuss Academic and Regional Cooperation

Ambassador Sohail Khan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), called on Rector, Dr. Muhammad Zahid Latif.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on regional cooperation, the role of academia in promoting dialogue and understanding and potential avenues for engagement between the SCO and higher education institutions. Rector warmly welcomed Ambassador Khan and appreciated the SCO’s emphasis on collaboration, knowledge exchange and people-to-people connectivity.
Both sides acknowledged the importance of academic and research partnerships in advancing shared regional and global objectives.
